CuePrompt Privacy Policy
In short: Speech recognition runs on your device. Your scripts, your audio and your video never leave the phone and are never sent to us or to Apple's servers. No account, no tracking.
1. Who we are
CuePrompt is published by AcutaLabs. This policy explains what the App does and does not do with your data. It covers the iOS app only.
2. Speech recognition — on-device only
Voice-following uses Apple’s Speech framework configured to require on-device recognition. Audio is transcribed locally in order to track your position in the script; it is not sent to Apple’s servers and it is not sent to us.
The rolling transcript exists in memory to drive scrolling and delivery statistics and is discarded when the take ends, unless you explicitly save it.
3. Scripts and recordings
Scripts you write are stored locally on your device. Video and audio you record are written to your device and, if you choose, to your photo library. Nothing is uploaded, backed up to us, or shared with any third party by the App.
Your recordings may be included in your own iCloud or iTunes device backups, which are governed by Apple’s privacy policy, not ours.
4. Permissions the App asks for
Microphone — required for recording and for voice-following. Camera — required to record video. Speech recognition — required for voice-following and delivery statistics. Photo library — only to save finished recordings.
Each permission can be granted or revoked at any time in iOS Settings. Denying speech recognition disables voice-follow but leaves manual and fixed-speed scrolling fully usable.
5. What we do collect
Purchases. When you buy an unlock or subscription, Apple processes the payment. We receive a purchase receipt and an anonymous identifier through our subscription-management provider so the App can validate your entitlement. We never receive your name, email or payment details.
Diagnostics. If you have enabled sharing of analytics and crash data with developers in iOS Settings, Apple may send us anonymised crash reports. These contain no script text, audio or video. You can turn this off in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements.
There is no account system, no advertising SDK and no third-party analytics.
6. Legal basis and retention
Where GDPR applies, we process the limited purchase data above to perform our contract with you, and optional diagnostics on the basis of consent given through iOS. Purchase records are kept only as long as needed to validate entitlements and meet tax obligations.
7. Your rights
We hold no account and no personal profile, so there is generally nothing for us to export or erase. If you believe we hold data about you, email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. You may have rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction and complaint to a supervisory authority.
8. Children
CuePrompt is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
